We want to help.

Here at Lights Film School, we’re working hard to make film education accessible to everyone around the world. As a part of that effort, we run a need-based grant program for prospective students interested in our online Filmmaking Program.

Who can apply for a grant?

Anyone with financial need can apply for a $100.00 grant, to be applied toward the cost of enrollment in our comprehensive Filmmaking Program (at this time, we don’t have any financial assistance available for our online Music Video Program).

How does it work, and how do I apply?

Applying for a grant is a straightforward process. All you need to do is apply using the form below. It’s important for you to detail three things:

  1. Your financial need
  2. Your passion for films and filmmaking
  3. Your commitment and desire to dive into the Filmmaking Program – why you wish to study with us and what you hope to learn/achieve

When we receive your grant application, we will approve or disapprove it within 24 hours. From that time, you will have until the next enrollment date before the grant expires.

On a related note, you can apply only once per month. We limit this because we have a certain amount of money set aside for grants each month, and we want to ensure that money is awarded to those people who truly intend to engage with the Filmmaking Program.

In summary, if you’re serious about applying for our grant program, we kindly ask that (1) if your application is accepted, you commit to the course by the next enrollment date, or (2) if your application is not accepted this time around, you wait one month before reapplying.

If you don’t accept our offer, then you simply forfeit your grant for this month and will need to re-apply next month.

If you’re awarded a grant, the $100.00 will reduce the cost of your enrollment in our Filmmaking Program.

To start your grant application process, simpy click the button below. Make sure to cover the three topics outlined above! Best of luck – you’ll hear from us soon after you apply.

Best of luck!

Give it your best shot. 🎥

No pun intended. Just kidding; totally intended!
