Film School: How Long is the Course?

Project NOT Time Based

Our online film course is project based, not time based. This means that you have a set amount of information, hands-on assignments and quizzes to complete but you can take as much time as you like to complete the course. We have the course split up into 16 weeks (4 months) because we feel that is the average amount of time needed to get through the material if you work through the lessons part time.

We set the 16 week timeline to allow those who work better under deadlines the opportunity to have project deadlines. However, some of our students complete the course in 2 months while others need 6 months to complete the course.

At Lights Film School we want to be flexible with our timeline because we know that the people who enroll in this course are often busy individuals with hectic schedules. We don't want our course to interfere with important obligations so we made it flexible in terms of timelines.
