Film School News: Music Video Component

Summary

Lights Film School has recently secured a deal with a very talented local musician which will allow your students to edit the raw footage of their last music video to create their own interpretation of the music.

Our students will be provided with 1 of the artists songs and the DV footage from the film shoot. Our students will be responsible for re-editing the material and creating a music video of their own. Our film students are given 60 minutes of raw footage to edit down to only 3 minutes.

Lights film school wanted to implement this new element because by nature music videos are very 'sound focused' and fast paced in terms of editing. This means that our students will get a much better understanding of synching up video images to the rhythms of music. This is very helpful with film creation as well.
