Lights Film School offers an in depth film program that will teach you the A-Z’s of filmmaking. Our film course is unique to each person who enrolls in our program. You will complete assignments and each of your assignments will be graded and reviewed by our course instructor who will also provide individualized feedback on each of your film projects.

Our online film school is an “outcomes based” learning environment, which means we focus on helping you build a strong portfolio of work in the creative areas that interest you the most. Our filmmaking course if flexible allowing you to adapt it to your specific interests as a filmmaker.

Our film school is interactive and personal, which means you’ll receive personalized feedback and support from our teaching staff. You’ll even get opportunities to meet with other students by attending our monthly online LAB CHATS. These live lectures cover a wide range of topics from screenwriting and cinematography to film theory and directing. Our lab chat schedule is always changing, but last month we had 5 lab chats. They were:

3: Re-writing
4: Building Tension: A Close look at Munich
5: Introduction to Camera Movement

We enroll students with a vastly different interests in film. Some want to become feature film directors, music video directors, writers or producers. Whatever your individual interest are, we can teach you how to make your projects as professional as possible.

As you progress through our online modules (video & text tutorials), you’ll soon start to develop a series of scripts and short video projects to add to your resume and demo reel.

Although I am newcomer to film studies, it's easy to recognize and respect the expertise of the instructors, who have been responsive to my questions as well as helpful and generous with their direction.
