Enroll in our
Detroit film course
Detroit is a great city to
learn about filmmaking. Our Detroit film school branch will allow you to learn
everything you need to know to become a great filmmaker. Our course is offered
online and take approximately 4 months to complete. During this time you'll be
asked to complete many assignments and quizzes. The practical and hands on
experience will allow you to build your film portfolio.
The assignments you'll be
working on will be of a broad scope. Some projects will be screenwriting
assignments while others will be editing or storyboarding assignments. We focus
on attention on getting our film students to 'create'. Our main concern isn't
the grades you receive but instead the quality of the work you produce.
Our Detroit film course is
'project based' instead of time based meaning you can take as long as you like
to complete our film classes. Each month you will focus on a different aspect of
filmmaking. You will start our learning about the foundations of film
(cinematography and screenwriting). Once you've completed those sections you'll
focus on more advanced film techniques.
Throughout the course
you'll need to submit your work to our online student community for review by
one of our film teachers. This individualized approach to learning is a great
way for you to be able to identify your problem areas.
As an independent filmmaker
you'll want to ensure your film productions look as high quality as possible.
This means taking the time to educate yourself on all facets of filmmaking from
lighting and sound to direction and packaging.
