“DIRECTOR NEXT” Film Development Program

Lights Film School DIRECTOR NEXT Program is a program designed to support excellence in independent filmmaking.

Filmmakers who are accepted into this program will receive:

1. Free enrollment in the Lights Film School program

2. 1on1 support from our teachers. This support will be shaped around the particular needs and focus of each individual filmmaker.

3. You will be given the opportunity to take part in an online film awareness program that will help you draw more attention to your work. As a student in our Independent Filmmaker Development Program you’ll be profiled on our blog and main page which will help drive traffic to your independent film projects.

4. We also ask that you allow us to interview you and profile the interview on our filmmaking blog. The idea is to share knowledge with other independent filmmakers in a quest to help make independent films more competitive and commercially viable business ventures

Selection process

All ages are welcome to apply
Filmmakers from any country in the world are welcome to apply
Both documentary and fiction filmmakers are encouraged to apply
Commercial and music video directors are also able to apply
