Great Example of Video Editing

The following short animation acts as a great editing example for filmmakers who struggle with both video and sound editing as well as the pacing of their films. Even though this short film is an animation, the editing principles are valid to films shot in any medium. The dramatic theme of the film requires a quicker editing rhythm. It also requires a particular type of lighting, composition and camera movement.

Also notice the special attention to both ambient and principle sound. A consistent bed of sound is something that is overlooked in too many independent films. This short film will hopefully serve as a great example on the benefits of both sound and video editing techniques.
