Lights Film School is an online film school dedicated to helping independent filmmakers greatly expand their technical and creative knowledge-base. We focus on an outcomes based approach to learning, meaning we focus on our students needs and help shape our curriculum around each students specific desires.

For example, some of our students are training to be documentary filmmakers. Other students want to be feature film directors. Others want to run their own independent film studios focusing mainly on commercials or music videos. The spectrum of our students expectations is wide. Therefore, we like to shape our curriculum around those expectations.

For instance one of our students may have an interest in fiction and another student may have an interest in documentary filmmaking. Both students will be required to complete an assignment on cinematography, however, both students will be able to shape the assignment around their particular interest. We provide a large framework for our students to work within and our course is adaptable to our individual students needs.
